How can I print a label (barcode or datamatrix) to a sample?
With Sample Navigator you can use any Windows based barcode label printers. At the moment we have tested with the Brady 1344 label printer.
For example, if we take a blood sample from the patient and want to split it to several micro samples. In that case blood will be the macro sample (also referred as "master" sample) and the splitt samples will be micro sample. All these samples can have the same barcode label (or data matrix) with just a different iteration number (from 001, 002, 003 etc), or can have a copletely different number, because Sample Navigator keeps a link to the 'master' sample, with all the patient data.

So the working process are:

tiny_logo.jpgPrint several stickers with the same barcode and place them on micro samples (This function is the MicroSampleCodeGeneratorAction function). We can print Barcode or Datamatrix label, also select the amount of labels. This is handy. Of course it is not necessary to keep paper records, but it is still supported. The second label can be placed on the paperform.
