SampleNavigator and your Current working methods Each laboratory has best practices, work methods, often documented in formal working protocols. The Sample Navigator is specially made for supporting your current working protocols. We did extensive analyse the working processes of laboratories and split them in individual tasks. For each individual task we defined working process with a visual presentation. Below you see for instance the visual presentation of:
We have made it easy for you to define workprocesses. You do not have to learn odd software, you can simply use Microsoft Visio and we made a special set of visio icons. Using Visio you simply can drop the icons and connect them: You can choose now already between 65 different icons making it possible to define nearly all working protocols. Your current working protocols, but also your future working protocols. Working protocols you are now not aware of, but when you need it, you can be sure SampleNavigator is ready for it. Working protocols are preserved over time Each project, each research, has its own set of associated working protocols. The users cannot directly change the data in the database of SampleNavigator, they must follow the working protocols and each working protocol follows the strict checks you define. If you want each macro tube split to 4 micro tubes you define that in the work protocol. Three or five micro tubes are not accepted in the working protocol. When you hire a temporary worker you do not have to worry if they follows your guidelines, SampleNavigator strictly controls that the working protocol is followed. When a specific task is done often, it is not difficult to follow a working protocol. The task is in the mind of the people involved, everybody knows what to do. But this is more difficult with sporadic task, it is easy to make mistakes, to follow the wrong protocol or to skip essential steps in the protocol. Proof that you have done the things right The last years it becomes more and more important to prove that you have done the right things. The new rules in corporate governance, the requirements of auditing, the rules of disclosure, all lead to the same conclusion. An organization needs to be able to proof that they have done everything possible to register the right data, to have the right check and balances and must have done everything to safeguard the data and the integrity of the data. Laboratories in large organizations, or laboratories that have large customers, must prepare themselves for this burden of proof. A burden of proof requested years from now, far in the future, but about the working protocols and data of today. With SampleNavigator you can proof which working protocols you used, you can proof who accessed the data and what data was stored when. Your current data storage Each project, each type of research has its own structure of data. Some projects store data about patients, other projects about animals, or seeds. SampleNavigator respects your current methods of data storage; you have complete freedom in defining what data you want to register in the system. Based on our flexible database, our flexible input screens, you can insert and edit the data your need. Your current data, but also your future data. Types of Data you know nothing about now, data you can't anticipate, but with SampleNavigator you are sure that it is ready for your future needs. Storage structure: Each type of storage has its own structure. In SampleNavigator we respect your current storage structure and we make it possible to define each kind of storage. For instance storage in freezers, with Levels and Towers Your current data, but also your future data. Types of Data you know nothing about now, data you cannot anticipate, but with SampleNavigator you are sure that it is ready for your future needs. |
